The CMC enabled Sentinel Plus software suite, which combines simplicity of use with the flexibility to manage any alarm signalling system
Corps security's CMC provides intruder alarm and CCTV monitoring services

Universal Fire & Security has become the latest installation and maintenance specialist to transfer its customers’ intruder alarm monitoring and remote CCTV monitoring requirements to Corps Security’s state-of-the-art Corps Monitoring Center (CMC). This development comes at a time of growing recognition for the CMC’s technological superiority and the industry leading service it offers.

Based in Plymouth and with clients across Devon and Cornwall, Universal Fire & Security has gained an enviable reputation for its expertise and quality of its work. With a client base that includes prestigious multinational organizations such as Orange and Domino’s Pizza, as well as the NHS and a diverse range of regional businesses including Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Community Homes, the company is dedicated to working in partnership and offering its customers best in class solutions.

“Around 350 of our customers use remote monitoring as part of an overall security solution,” explained Chris Rees, director of Universal Fire & Security. “However, we were becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the performance of the remote monitoring center we were using. I’d heard good things about the CMC and after meeting with its business development manager, Andy Goldstone, I was immediately impressed by his attitude and the level of transparency regarding what Corps Security could offer us. It was clear that we shared a common outlook and ethos and I was also confident that our business would be valued by Corps Security whereas I felt we had become just a number for our previous provider.”

For Chris Rees and his team working with Corps Security is proving to be a winning formula

The CMC provides third party alarm receiving and CCTV monitoring services to an extensive range of customers across a variety of market sectors. It is widely acknowledged as the leading remote monitoring center in the UK and Andy Goldstone added, “It is the most modern and truly independent facility of its kind and incorporates only the highest specification equipment, which is constantly evaluated and upgraded.”

For Chris Rees and his team working with Corps Security is proving to be a winning formula. The company has already managed to save considerable time and money by using the CMC enabled Sentinel Plus software suite from Monitor Computer Systems, which combines simplicity of use with the flexibility to manage any alarm signaling system. This means that Universal Fire & Security can test and check jobs without having to call the CMC and can even remotely access reports through mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. This level of flexibility and accessibility also means that the company’s clients can also contact the CMC directly regarding any queries and quickly get the answers they need.

As well as transferring its customers’ remote monitoring requirements over to the CMC, Universal Fire & Security will actively promote it to any new clients that require such services in the future. Eric Roberts, Corps Security’s CMC business development director, concluded, “We have put in a considerable amount of effort to make sure that our remote monitoring services set new standards within the industry. I’m delighted that Universal Fire & Security is switching all its customers over to us and I’m pleased to say that other installers are looking to do the same.”
