Grandstream enhances IP surveillance solutions for SMBs
Grandstream's GXV video surveillance product line supports VoIP/SIP standards
Grandstream Networks, the leading manufacturer of IP voice/video telephony and video surveillance solutions, announced new firmware supporting broadened ONVIF interoperability with various third party surveillance products and new feature enhancements such as support for WiFi (802.11n) adapter and remote door opener to strengthen its award-winning GXV series of IP video surveillance cameras.

A supporter of global network video standards for IP physical security, Grandstream GXV IP cameras are fully ONVIF certified and have achieved successful interoperability with many attending manufacturers' solutions during the recent third ONVIF developer's Plugfest in Chicago on September 7-9. Broad interoperability underlines that investment in Grandstream's video surveillance products ensures resellers/integrators and enterprise customers who purchase Grandstream's solutions can focus on specific physical security applications rather than worrying about if various products will work with another.

Also included in the firmware enhancement is the added support for external WiFi (802.11b/g/n) adapter for all of Grandstream's surveillance products that have a USB port, as well as a unique remote door opener feature that allows a user to remotely and securely control door opening via a Grandstream video camera that has one of the I/O ports connected to a door's electronic controller, by pressing a key on the Grandstream GXV3140 video phone while viewing/hearing real-time video and audio streaming from the door camera.

High quality live video feeds from Grandstream's surveillance cameras can also be routed through Grandstream's GXE502x IP PBX and streamed onto Grandstream's IP video endpoints like the GXV3140.
