Optex Europe and EMCS partner join forces with a vew to specialized training
Optex Europe, the leading provider of detector technology, has partnered with EMCS, the independent alarm receiving centre (ARC), to develop a comprehensive programme of highly specialized training courses for EMCS installers.

The training has been designed as part of the two companies' combined efforts to counteract the occurrence of false alarms, which dramatically impact upon the efficiency of security systems across the industry. The programme will include such topics as ‘REDWALL Installation and Commissioning', ‘False Alarm Identification and Reductions' and ‘System Design Consideration'.

Mark Hewerdine, CCTV Manager at EMCS: "At EMCS, we are committed to ensuring that the CCTV systems we monitor perform as effectively as possible. We believe that one of the best ways to ensure optimum, accurate results is to assist our installers by working closely with our industry partners to deliver in-depth training, direct from the product developers. The trial sessions provided invaluable knowledge and support to the participants with really positive feedback from all who attended. We are now ready to roll the initiative out to our entire client base with a number of additional sessions here at the ARC."

Central to the success of the scheme has been Optex's REDWALL range of external detection systems. "Working in partnership with Optex Europe has already enabled us to attain elevated levels of service and improved detection results," Mark says, "and we are confident that these training courses will continue that fruitful trend. Anyone interested in attending one of the courses should contact cctv@emcs.co.uk.

"The expertise and professionalism of the installers at EMCS together with the product guidance, updates and support delivered by Optex Europe offer a winning combination, and will benefit installers and customers alike"

According to Nigel Hackett, Sales Director at Optex Europe, Optex and EMCS are working on the development of further technologies and more training courses for the future: "The expertise and professionalism of the installers at EMCS together with the product guidance, updates and support delivered by Optex Europe offer a winning combination, and will benefit installers and customers alike."

"These bespoke training courses will position EMCS as a leading authority on security monitoring technology, particularly in the areas of product choice, system design and installation."
