TDSi, a global leader in access control systems for all sizes of businesses and organizations recently announced the launch of its new and improved EXgarde Version 3.0.8 security software. The latest version of the access control and integrated security systems management software is a flexible and dynamic platform, which builds upon its already proven capabilities in security management operations around the world.

EXgarde Version 3.0.8 boasts a wealth of new features to improve the effectiveness of security. These include improvements in the ability to use images and unique ID fields for key holders, a dual login feature for more flexible access rights authorisation, support for universal decode, improved keyholder group handling, an access control units commission mode to make the process easier and improvements to the TCM layer for performance and system reliability.

EXgarde Version 3.0.8 also offers integration with TDSi's powerful VUgarde IP video surveillance solution, relied upon by control rooms to deliver control of live and recorded video, PTZ and alarm management. A comprehensive suite of database tools means EXgarde is able to deliver seamless integration with a wide range of proprietary and bespoke systems including Schools Information Management Systems (SIMS), HR, Payroll, Time and Attendance and CCTV applications.

The software has always been easy to use for the operator and comprises of a fully customisable interface that enables operators to access areas of interest such as site plans and specific tasks, via shortcuts on their workstation. Meanwhile, the addition of EXnotify as an optional module for EXgarde ensures security operators can be kept informed of critical events whilst away from the workstation or control room, as events can be sent directly to the operator via SMS, e-mail or wireless PDA.
