Mirasys expands in Europe so as to ease relations with clients

Mirasys Ltd, a leading provider of open platform digital CCTV and video surveillance solutions, has today announced the opening of local offices in France and the Benelux region. As the latest strand to the company's aggressive global expansion strategy, which has seen offices open in the Gulf, German, Baltic, Indian, Italian, Thai and North American markets over the past 12 months, this move forms part of Mirasys' plan to enhance sales operations and optimize customer and partner relationships on a country-by-country level. A dedicated local office will also be opened in Finland - Mirasys' home country - to accommodate a strategic migration of global sales management to Germany, allowing for simplified communication with customers in mainland Europe.

Rising demand for hybrid CCTV platforms has spurred Mirasys' move into France and the Benelux, and with an increasingly diversified marketplace, Mirasys' position as an open platform video management solutions provider directly addresses the need for flexible and scalable CCTV infrastructure. In France, the Mirasys operation will be led by Fayçal Henni, an experienced IT executive who will also claim responsibility for Mirasys' Northern Africa operation. In the Benelux, Victor Schmedding will draw on 16 years of experience in the technology and telecoms sector, including roles at Microsoft, Nokia and T-Mobile, to lead sales and relationship management activities.

While the France and Benelux offices signify Mirasys' commitment to providing dedicated resources in potential growth markets, the restructuring on the Finnish headquarters represents a shift-change in the business' go-to-market strategy. Opening a dedicated regional office in Finland aligns with an intention to increase and develop support for the local distribution network, remaining consistent with the franchise-led strategy that has been adopted by other regional offices. Veli-Matti Luukkanen will take charge of Mirasys' Finnish contingent, where responsibilities will include maintaining the business' leading position in the local market, while working with distributors to further penetrate key market verticals.

"Mirasys is dedicated to offering specialist support to customers and partners, and by opening regional offices in Finland, France and the Benelux, we can ensure consistency in the way that the business is structured in each geography while committing to improved technology and marketing support at a local level,"  said Jukka Riivari, chief executive officer at Mirasys. "Investing in experienced staff resources in each region means that we can better serve our partners through local market knowledge and cultural understanding, which is of key importance to us as a business that is undergoing very strong growth."

Klaus Seibold, VP Sales at Mirasys went on to add that: "The restructuring in Finland has meant that the management of Mirasys' global sales will be reallocated to Germany, allowing us to have more direct access to our customer base across mainland Europe - Mirasys' main market. Capitalising on local expertise has dramatically contributed to the success that Mirasys has seen over the past year, and from an organizational perspective, we anticipate this restructure to deliver benefits to Mirasys customers and partners across Europe and beyond."
