The datapages with embedded chip stores the personal data, a facial image and two fingerprints of the document holder
The Lithuanian passport with the datapage of Trub is one of the most secure documents in the world

Since 2008, Trüb supplies highly secure polycarbonate datapages with embedded chip to the Republic of Lithuania. The quality of the electronic polycarbonate datapages and the services provided by Trüb are the basis for an ongoing successful collaboration.

The cooperation with the Lithuanian Personalisation Center of Identity Documents under the Ministry of Internal Affairs began in 2007 after a thorough evaluation process. The electronic datapage of Trüb has met – and even exceeded – the expectations of the Lithuanian Authorities in terms of quality and security.

The heart of the Lithuanian passport is the e-datapage from Trüb. The datapage is made of fused polycarbonate films and laminated without the use of adhesives, equipped with a variety of built-in security features and optically personalized by means of laser engraving. The datapage is attached to the passport booklet through a patented and robust page binding element, and is designed for a lifespan of 10 years.

Issuance of passports with an electronic polycarbonate datapage has started in January 2008.The chip stores the personal data, a facial image and two fingerprints of the document holder. Major aims were to combat counterfeiting and to ensure a reliable identification of the document holder. Ever since the introduction, the Lithuanian passport with the datapage of Trüb is recognized to be one of the most secure documents in the world.

The e-datapage is integrated into the Lithuanian passport booklets which are produced locally by UAB Garsu Pasaulis and then personalized by the Personalisation Center of Identity Documents under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (ADIC) in Vilnius. “It is widely recognized that the Lithuanian biometric passports are a valuable indicator of the country's distinctive attitude to security-oriented innovation.”, says Mr. Ramunas Zickis, Director of ADIC.

Trüb is proud to extend the successful collaboration for a further contract term, underpinning its position as a world-leading supplier of secure polycarbonate documents.
