Streit Group will display commercial security and personal protection vehicles at Counter Terror Expo
Streit Group will showcase Cobra APC, Riot Control, Cash in Transit and BMW 750 security vehicles

Streit Group, the world’s largest privately-owned vehicle armoring company, is one of the sponsors of the London Counter Terror exhibition being held on 24th and 25th April. At the event, Streit Group will be showcasing a selection of its law enforcement and internal security vehicles, including:

Cobra APC

The Cobra is a highly versatile 4x4 armored vehicle with a superior off-road performance that is more than a match for any terrain, and a monocoque body shell designed to provide optimal ballistic resistance as well as underbody blast protection. Ideally suited to a wide variety of counter terror roles, the Cobra at the exhibition will be equipped with a unique ladder system designed to facilitate rapid entry to, and exit from, any building in which hostages are being held.

Riot Control Vehicle

Also on display will be Streit Group’s Riot Control Vehicle. Reflecting the recent growing levels of unrest in various parts of the world, the company has seen a significant rise in demand for this vehicle which it has been able to respond to, thanks to the recent expansion of its international production capability.

“Streit Group has identified a need amongst a number of European police forces for a family of multiple role as well as specific-to-role vehicles

These vehicles, along with others from the Streit Group range, are specifically designed to fulfill the requirements of the modern day police force for multiple role vehicles that can support public order control and firearms teams while offering the vehicle users full protection.

In order to help define the specification for these vehicles, a mission study was conducted in consultation with a number of police departments and security forces within Europe. The analysis has concluded that the PPPV may be required to fulfill a number of mission roles, including:

  • High threat area control
  • Riot / Public order control
  • Hostage rescue
  • High threat emergency evacuation
  • VIP / Diplomatic Protection Support

These vehicles, from the Streit Group range, are specifically designed to fulfill the requirements of the modern day police force for multiple role vehicles

Guerman Goutorov, founder & CEO of Streit Group, commented: “Policing and Law Enforcement operations involving containment, reactive intervention, close escort protection and public order control (Riot Control) are becoming increasingly hazardous for the personnel involved due to the growing availability of weapons and the increased aggression and sophistication that terrorists, insurgents, dissident groups and organized criminals are now employing. Streit Group has identified a need amongst a number of European police forces for a family of multiple role as well as specific-to-role vehicles (installed with ballistic and blast protection) to support the police officers and others who are assigned with these high threat tasks.”

Also on display at Counter Terror Expo will be the following Streit Group commercial security and personal protection vehicles:

Cash in Transit Vehicles

Protecting the assets of companies, from banks to casinos, that need to transport large quantities of cash has long been one of Streit Group’s key markets. The vehicles are based on a wide range of OEM models – including Ford, GMC, Toyota, Mercedes and Volkswagen – and the extent of the company’s capability in this area will be fully evident at the exhibition.

BMW 750

The armored BMW 750 remains one of the company’s best-selling vehicles in the luxury personal protection market, used extensively for the transport of senior government and military personnel as well as other VIPs. The armoring can be rendered invisible to the casual onlooker or, alternatively, the vehicle can be rebranded to suit customer requirements.
