Hybrid operation. The NSR-1000 series accepts up to 16 analog cameras and up to 64 IP cameras - so you can operate a mixed analog/IP camera environment, seamlessly. Open platform. The NSR-1000 series is an open platform. It is compatible with all of Sony's analog and IP cameras, plus all third-party analog cameras and many third-party IP cameras. It also supports a variety of third-party software solutions through Sony's ISV programme.

The on-board set-up wizard automatically detects Sony-branded IP cameras, so you don't have to spend time manually inserting IP addresses etc. It also assigns camera images to the monitor layout automatically, so you can start monitoring straight away.
