Dorado 544 and 584 readers are compatible with magnetic stripe cards encoded with the ANSI/ABA format or with HID's EMPI format, reading either track 1, 2, or 3. ANSI/ABA refers to the bank card encoding format commonly used for access, while EMPI is HID's secure coding format. The Dorado magentic stripe security card is a low-cost token that can double as a photo identification badge by using a dye sublimation direct print version of the card. The cards can be triple encoded on separate tracks to allow use of the security cards for cafeteria, vending, or parking check-out.Only available in the US.
