The connection of Granta controllers conventionally uses RS485 networks, or for remote site connection, dial-up or leased line modems. The Granta 4237 TCP/IP module provides connectivity over shared networks and the Internet. Granta for Windows Version 4.2 provides full support for the 4237 as standard. Using standard RS232 connections the 4237 can connect directly to 4101 or 4010 controllers in individual or Master/Slave configurations. The configuration of the 4237 can be done from any standard web browser through the internal HTTP server, or configured via a Telnet connection if preferred. Flash RAM allows fast free upgrades of firmware in the field. This is a built-in unit which will fit in the 4010 and 4101 housing and does not require a module slot in the Granta controller.
