Canon Axis acquisition

In February 2015, Canon announced its intention to acquire leading IP camera manufacturer Axis Communications for a staggering (estimated) amount of $2.8 billion. The acquisition offer for Axis is Canon’s second major move to establish a strong presence in the video surveillance market after the company had acquired VMS supplier Milestone Systems.
