Security Industry Association to host Security Week Gala on November 2 in New York
The Fred V. Morrone Memorial 9/11 Award and the George R. Lippert Memorial Award will be presented

The Security Industry Association (SIA) and the InterPort Police-International Association of Airport & Seaport Police will host the Security Week Gala from 7:00-10:00 p.m., 2 November 2011 at the Lighthouse on Chelsea Pier 61, New York.

Two awards will be given at the event. The Fred V. Morrone Memorial 9/11 Award is given each year to an individual who has significantly contributed to making the world safer and protecting us from terrorist acts. Past recipients include the Honorable Rudy Giuliani and the Honorable Asa Hutchinson. The George R. Lippert Memorial Award is presented annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the security industry and SIA. Steve Roth, CEO of Tri-Ed/Northern Video Distribution, will receive the 2011 Lippert Award.

"The gala awards dinner is one of the security industry's biggest nights," says Rand Price, Chief Operating Officer of SIA. "Not only is it is a fun, elegant and festive occasion, it also provides an opportunity for executives in electronic physical security to connect with decision makers in our industry."
