Samsung's new SCO-2080RH bullet camera has been designed to withstand temperatures as low as -50°C or as high as +50°C making it suitable for installation in areas that suffer from extreme weather conditions. A fan, heater and sun-shield ensures that the IP66 rated SCO-2080RH works effectively in the most demanding of applications such as airports, ports and car parks and other similar open and exposed environments, whilst built-in IR LED's allow the camera to deliver superb quality images of objects up to 50 metres, even in total darkness.

The all-in-one SCO-2080RH, which is supplied complete with a varifocal lens, housing, bracket and 1m pre-made cable to save installers time and money, is a true day/night camera with an integrated infrared cut filter to provide sharp colour images during the day and night. A twin glass front negates the problem suffered by many bullet cameras of light from the IR LEDs reflecting back into the lens as a result of dirt or water settling on the glass front.

It has a long list of built-in features which include eight motion detection zones and twelve privacy masking zones, whilst coaxial control compatibility allows the fourteen language on-screen display menu to be accessed from the comfort of the control room via a compatible DVR, such as the latest coaxial control versions of Samsung's SRD series.

The inclusion of the latest generation of Samsung's W-V DSP chipset ensures that the SCO-2080RH can deliver very high quality colour images at 600 TV lines during the day and superb quality 700 TV lines monochrome images at night. Third generation Samsung Super Noise Reduction (SSNRIII) technology equips the SCO-2080RH to eliminate image noise in low-light conditions without creating ghosting or blurring and with the additional benefit of up to 70% reduction in bandwidth requirements or video storage space compared to standard cameras.

Other key features include Highlight Compensation technology, which identifies and neutralises excessively bright areas in an image enabling the operator to view previously hidden details. The SCO-2080RH also benefits from Samsung Super Dynamic Range (SSDR), which automatically lightens the dark areas within a scene, whilst maintaining the brighter areas at the same level.  This ensures that the dark areas become more visible allowing the operator to ‘view' objects in the shadows.

Available from all Samsung distributors, the SCO-2080RH Bullet camera range is offered with full support services from Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd., including free system design, free technical support and a full three-year warranty.
