If successful, it could be Octavian’s fourth major business award win of the year
Octavian’s founder Sukhi Ghuman has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Personal Achievement category

The founder, owner and group CEO of Octavian Security, one of the UK’s most highly praised security providers, has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Personal Achievement category at this year’s Nottinghamshire Best Business Awards.

Sukhi Ghuman has been chosen as a finalist because of his continuous drive to build on the business’s pioneering reputation through rigorous employee development schemes and policies, as well as his vision for expansion and entrepreneurial drive.

His ‘open door’ ethos to every employee, direct hand in creating new products and technologies such as the recently-launched Octavian App, and his skill in successfully launching the brand in the US, all contributed to his selection in the final running for the award.

Octavian, which this year celebrates a decade of service after being founded by Mr Ghuman in the spare room of his Nottingham home in 2003, is known for leading the field when it comes to customer care and professionalism within the sector.

If successful, it could be Octavian’s fourth major business award win of the year.

“To be chosen as a finalist for such a prestigious award such as this from the DNCC is fantastic news,” commented Mr Ghuman.

“It seems that our standards of service and employee development at Octavian are recognized as very high by other sectors, and I hope that we can continue to lead the security industry in this manner.”

In March this year Sukhi Ghuman won the Excellence in Customer Service Award at the Asian Achievers Awards 2013. One month later the company won the Services Award at the Nottingham Post Business Awards 2013, while in July it was also named as a finalist for the national Security Excellence Awards 2013, judging of which takes place later this month.

The Nottinghamshire Best Business Awards ceremony will be held at The Nottingham Belfry Hotel on 11 October.
