HID OMNIKEY® 5321 CR Waterproof Desktop Reader

HID Global has just announced the launch of its OMNIKEY® 5321 CR which features a contactless interface PC-linked reader that reads/writes to both ISO14443 A+B or ISO 15693 compliant contactless smart card or tags.

It supports end-user environments, where contactless smart card technology together with high hygiene standards needs to be maintained.

Utilising contactless smart card technology for PC-linked applications, the OMNIKEY® 5321 CR device allows users to experience the convenience, speed and security of contactless technology for applications, including logon to Windows®, networks, web sites and applications for the secure storage of user names, passwords and personal information as well as email signing and encryption.

The OMNIKEY 5321 CR is an easy to clean, waterproof device which, in all modern hospitals helps to comply to data security demands like US HIPPA regulations and the hygiene requirements.
