At ASIS 2017, OnSSI is showcasing the new Ocularis 5.5, the latest version of the company’s Video Management Software (VMS) solution. Available November 8th, 2017 and building on the open platform and advanced management and recorder capabilities of Ocularis, the updated version features new integrations and automation functions that increase overall performance and cost-efficiency.

Key Enhancements To Ocularis

“This newest release of Ocularis is more powerful and comprehensive than ever. It further expands our ability to provide end users and integrators with an easy-to-use VMS platform that delivers unprecedented performance and cost-efficiency,” said Ken LaMarca, VP of Sales & Marketing, OnSSI. Regardless of the system size, Ocularis can scale to meet users’ specific needs on the level of customized software solutions.”

OnSSI also continues to evolve Ocularis since replacing the VMS solution’s innovative recorder in 2015. Key enhancements include new Smart Camera Drivers for Dahua and Panasonic cameras for immediate support for all new cameras without the need to wait for individual camera drivers or driver packs; dewarping support for Panasonic cameras; and H.265 support for Axis cameras with the Ocularis Smart Camera Driver.

OnSSI New Integrations

Automatic configuration of Ocularis Base upon Recorder changes also saves time and ensures less errors, resulting in higher reliability and system protection. A new system status overview in Ocularis Administrator simplifies device verification and report generation. Additional system efficiency is achieved with the playback of alarm recordings only, reducing bandwidth and increasing event notifications and video call-up times. OnSSI has also implemented new integrations with Agent Vi analytics and Open Options access control and event monitoring.

“Users and integrators alike will find Ocularis to be even easier to install, implement and use than ever before, with powerful new capabilities that improve overall security,” said Mr. LaMarca.

Ocularis 5.5 is available in three models: Professional, designed for organizations operating multiple locations with small to mid-sized camera counts; Enterprise, built for a wide range of mid to large IT-centric organizations; and Ultimate, created for large organizations with extended command and control needs and recording server failover.
