The US Pavilion is to be organised at IFSEC, the world's largest annual security event
UBM Live is to organize the US Pavilion at IFSEC UK2010 to be held in Birmingham, UK

The U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has granted Trade Fair Certification to UBM Live to organize the official U.S. Pavilion at IFSEC UK 2010, the world's largest annual security event.  The show will be held at NEC Birmingham, United Kingdom, May 10-13, 2010.  It is organized in association with the BSIA, the British Security Industry Association, and supported by ASIS International, the Security Institute, and ISIO (International Security Industry Organizations).  The 2009 event marked the show's 36th year.

OVERVIEW:  The Safety & Security sector in the UK will continue to expand in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics.  Airport security products, for example, including personnel and baggage scanners, cargo scanners, and biometric systems, will be in particular demand.  This market is expected to average over $100 million yearly through the Olympics and beyond.  In general, the show theme will focus on six sectors:  access control, CCTV, counter terror and physical security, intruder alarms, IP networks and integrated systems, and security solutions.

IFSEC UK 2010 has the support of the DOC's staff in both the United States and the United Kingdom

IFSEC UK 2010 has the support of the DOC's staff in both the United States and the United Kingdom.  By supporting this event, the DOC recognises the capability and exhibition experience of the organiser of the U.S. Pavilion, UBM Live, and the potential of this market for U.S. industry exports.  Companies participating in the U.S. Pavilion are provided with an excellent venue to establish or expand overseas distribution, generate sales leads, identify licensing and joint venture partners, find new customers, meet with existing clients, introduce new products, assess the needs of the UK market, and evaluate competitors.  U.S. Commercial Service staff from the U.S. embassy in London will render on-site assistance to U.S. exhibitors.

The Trade Fair Certification (TFC) Program is a cooperative arrangement between private sector show organisers and the U.S. Government.  The TFC Program seeks to broaden the base of U.S. exporters, particularly new-to-export and new-to-market companies, by introducing them to key trade fairs where they can meet their export objectives.
