Video server from exacq and CCTVs from Arecont undergo test-integration
exacq tested the integration between their hybrid server and Arecont Vision's suite of 70+ cameras

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, recently welcomed a team from exacq Technologies to the new Integration MegaLab testing facility at their Glendale, California headquarters. As a member of Arecont Vision's Technology Partner Programme, exacq was granted access to the MegaLab to test the integration with their popular hybrid server and Arecont Vision's suite of 70+ cameras, including cameras not yet released to the public.

"We were able to verify enhancements to the integration in our 4.1 release," said Roger Shuman, Marketing Manager for exacq Technologies. "At the Arecont Vision MegaLab, we were able to test our exacqVision VMS servers with a multitude of camera options. Several Arecont Vision engineers were on hand for troubleshooting and debugging, making this a worthwhile experience for us at Exacq."

The MegaLab is part of Arecont Vision's Technology Partner Programme, designed to further support partnerships between Arecont Vision and elite manufacturers through tighter integration, sales collaboration and joint marketing. The Technology Partner Programme is open to companies that sell products that complement Arecont Vision's offerings, including video management software, analytics, servers, storage, wireless systems, structured cabling, optics, enclosures, switches and illumination. The MegaLab consists of a number of servers with hot-swappable hard drives connected to 64X load cameras and one of every model that Arecont Vision sells. There are also several open bays in the server rack to test appliance-based NVRs.

"When premiere partners such as exacq are able to take full advantage of the amenities of the MegaLab, and leave with an expanded skill set for megapixel technology, it verifies the need for an open laboratory space of this nature," said Jason Schimpf, Partner Relations Manager, Arecont Vision. "Partner integration is paramount to the successful adoption of multi-megapixel cameras in a wide range of industries."

Arecont Vision's cameras range in image resolution from 1.3 to 10 megapixels, including cameras providing advanced capabilities such as dual day/night and panoramic viewing. Using H.264 compression, Arecont Vision cameras provide greater compression efficiency to solve system issues related to bandwidth and storage. The Arecont Vision line also includes the MegaDome™Series of all-in-one dome cameras and a new compact JPEG series of cameras to address cost-sensitive applications.
