The new Resilience Gateway models feature Failover to Cellular over high-speed 4G LTE networks, improving WAN resilience and business continuity
The new Resilience Gateway models are designed specifically for connectivity through Canadian telcos Rogers and Telus

Opengear, a leading provider of critical infrastructure management solutions through advanced console servers, remote management, monitoring, and cellular out-of-band products, recently announced the introduction of four new models into its award-winning Resilience Gateway product line. Designed specifically for connectivity through Canadian telcos Rogers and Telus, the expansion includes the ACM7004-2-LMCR and ACM7008-2-LMCR that support the Rogers 4G LTE cellular network, and the ACM7004-2-LMCT and ACM7008-2-LMCT that support Telus 4G LTE cellular.

The new Resilience Gateway models come with all of the features that have made the Resilience Gateway line popular for any business where maintaining network uptime is critical. Opengear’s Smart OOB™ ensures this by providing best-in-class out-of-band management for an organization’s entire IT infrastructure. With a set of features and depth of reliability that goes beyond what is typically offered in the OOBM space, Smart OOB enables secure remote monitoring and control of critical network equipment as well as proactive, intelligent automated remediation of issues before they become failures.

Safety And Security Through Environmental Monitoring

All new models also feature Failover to Cellular™ over high-speed 4G LTE networks, improving WAN resilience and business continuity by maintaining network connectivity even during primary network connection outages. The new Resilience Gateway models feature multi-carrier capabilities, supporting dual SIMs to allow for carrier diversity. This carrier flexibility increases resilience by enabling organizations to select the strongest carrier for a given situation or locale. The models introduce further safety and security through environmental monitoring via digital I/O ports, which can utilize attached security cameras, door sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, and more. They are able to both inform auto-repair functionality and to produce intelligent environmental and physical sensor alarm notifications delivered to administrators by SMS, SNMP, or email.

Canada-Centric Models

“Opengear’s Resilience Gateway line safeguards the vital network connectivity and continuity that organizations rely upon to conduct their business without hiccups,” said Joe Valha, Regional Sales Executive at Opengear. “With the introduction of these new Canada-centric models, we’re proud to work with Rogers and Telus as the carriers delivering resilient high-speed 4G LTE connectivity to meet the networking needs of those they serve.”

The four-port Rogers ACM7004-2-LMCR and Telus ACM7004-2-LMCT Resilience Gateways are priced at $1,015 per unit. The eight-port Rogers ACM7008-2-LMCR and Telus ACM7004-8-LMCT Resilience Gateways are $1,355. All models are now available.
