Being unveiled for the first time at IIPSEC 2009, Dedicated Micros' Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Optimized Cameras, which have been built around its HyperSense Technology, are designed to effectively capture and record vehicle licence plates - even when faced with headlight glare - in scenarios such as petrol forecourts or car parks. Available in analog and IP models, the HyperSense technology has the ability to remove ambient light from a scene only leaving objects that strongly reflect the Infra Red (IR) light emitted by the integrated IR LED array.
Dedicated Micros will also be showcasing the recent additions and enhancements to the company's popular DV-IP product range at the exhibition, including the latest generation DV-IP Server and the new DV-IP Express. The advanced features now built-in to the DV-IP Server have transformed it into a fully scalable, hybrid, system which is Analytics Capable and incorporates the very latest user interface enhancements. The new DV-IP Express is an advanced entry-level, network DVR which brings together high frame rate recording with real-time 'live' multi-screen viewing in a cost-effective surveillance package.
Another key focus for Dedicated Micros during IIPSEC 2009 is to be the new Pick-a-Point Icon Digital Matrix solution from integrator BBV. This is now fully integrated with the latest range of DV-IP products, including the HighVu Excel, DV-IP Server, Decoder, RT and HD. The Pick-a-Point Icon also has HDMI interfaces as standard allowing high definition video to be displayed on associated video walls.
Also being launched at IIPSEC 2009 is a revolutionary capability that can transform NetVu Connected CCTV systems into a sophisticated Emergency Messaging and Mass Notification System. When deployed the Emergency Messaging System (EMS) provides authorities, police and end users with an unparalleled situational awareness and two-way communication capability with specified assets should a major incident or a disaster occur; there is also the potential to generate revenue through a Mass Notification System (MNS) and, simultaneously, to continue to perform the surveillance tasks required to secure any facility.

These include: Tuesday 27th January - 'HD and H.264 in Practice', 14:30-16:30, Theatre 1; Wednesday 28th - 'Airport, Port and Terminal Solutions: The Port of Grimsby and Immingham Case Study', 14.00-16.00, Theatre 3; 'Adding Value Through Convergence', 14:30-16:30, Theatre 1 and Thursday 29th and 'Network Systems in Health & Education: The De Montfort University Case Study', 10.00-12.00, Theatre 3.
In addition, Pauline Norstrom, The Director of Worldwide Marketing at Dedicated Micros, in her role as Chairman of the BSIA's CCTV Section will be hosting a special breakout session on Wednesday 28th January - 'Confused About Analytics?' 13.30-14.30, Theatre 2 which will focus on the development of a new Analytics Guide by the BSIA technical committee TC/10.
