SALTO will showcase the newest additions to its leading XS4 platform

SALTO Systems will present its latest access control innovations at IFSEC 2012 (stand D40 hall 4) including the newest additions to its class leading XS4 platform.

The latest XS4 on-line wireless solution is smart, secure and innovative, and needs no hard wiring to provide a totally wire free networked electronic locking solution with a great range of features. It is designed for applications that need the latest in high level real-time access control without the need for wiring, and perfectly complements SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) and hardwired IP solutions.

One of the newest additions to the XS4 product range is the electronic lock with keypad. This brand new product provides a choice of locking methods on doors where extra levels of security and control may be needed. It offers multiple security authentication methods to control access including proximity card, combined use of a PIN code + proximity card or a separate keypad code. It is also available in a wireless version for online real-time control.

Joining this will be AMOK, SALTO’s new electronic escutcheon designed for use in the educational environment. It ensures schools; colleges and universities are a secure, safe place to learn by enabling buildings and facilities to be quickly locked down during a security or other emergency event. It has a built in card reader on the inner escutcheon which enables users to activate the AMOK function mode in order to lock down the room quickly. Only authorized users with AMOK privileges on their access plan can activate it.

SALTO will also be unveiling its new partnership with BioCote Ltd, the market leading provider of silver ion based anti microbial coating technology. This enables SALTO to offer customers the option of having their access control products treated with the BioCote finish. It has a proven efficiency of reducing the presence of microbes on surfaces by up to 99.9% making it ideal for use in a wide range of commercial environments including hospitality, retirement homes, leisure, food, catering, laboratory, and healthcare sectors.

Marc Handels, Vice President Global Marketing for SALTO Systems says “IFSEC 2012 is a vital part of our annual marketing campaign. This year we will showcase a host of new products and technologies and we will be focusing on what really makes SALTO so different from other manufacturers. We are excited about our latest technology and we’re sure it’s going to impress a wide range of installers, consultants and end users.”
