Megaiew 2 and MegaDome 2 cameras feature, privacy masking, extended motion detection with 1,024 distinction detection zones
MegaView 2 and MegaDom 2 cameras now available with 8-22mm, 9-22mm and 11-22mm telephoto lenses

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP megapixel camera technology, introduced new telephoto versions of its widely popular MegaView 2 and MegaDome 2 day/night megapixel cameras here at ISC West 2014 (booth #8045). The offerings include an 8-22mm P-iris lens for 1080p models, a 9-22mm P-iris lens for 3MP and 5MP models and 11-22mm P-iris lens for 10 MP models, all equipped with a log-range LED illuminator for viewing in night-time mod.

“These new telephoto lenses further increase the coverage range for our MegaView 2 and MegaDome 2 cameras in both the day and night viewing modes. The addition of a new extended range LED ring ensures there is sufficient illumination to capture highly detailed images over long distances even in virtual darkness,” said Raul Calderon, Senior Vice President, Arecont Vision

Arecont Vision’s P-iris lenses feature remote focus and remote zoom for fast and easy installation by eliminating the need to perform field of view or focus adjustments on site. Lens operations can be remotely controlled from the head end. The P-iris lenses also provide an optimized iris position for the best depth of field and image clarity. Short or full range focus scan functions analyzea region of interest or the full scene to determine the best focus for the adjusted field of view.

"These new telephoto lenses further
increase the coverage range for
our MegaView 2 and MegaDome 2
cameras in both the day and night
viewing modes"

MegaView 2 and MegaDom 2 cameras also feature Arecont Vision’s wide dynamic range (WDR) technology which provides a dynamic range of up to 100dB at full resolution without lowering frame rates. By combing long and short exposures in the same field of view, WDR maximises the amount of detail in both bright and dark areas of a scene. The WDR performance of Arecont Vision cameras represents up to 50dB improvement (300X) in dynamic range compared to conventional cameras.

In addition, Megaiew 2 and MegaDome 2 cameras offer many performance features including H.264 (M PEG-4 Part 10)/MJPEG dual encoders, privacy masking, extended motion detection with 1,024 distinction detection zones, outstanding low light performance, a binning function for increased light sensitivity (3MP, 5 MP and 10MP models), flexible cropping to adjust image sizes and the ability to choose PoE (Power over Ethernet) or external power.

MegaView 2 Telephoto cameras are available with infrared (IR) in resolutions of 1080p, WDR, 3MP WD R, 5MP and 10MP environmentally read.

MegaDome 2 Telephoto cameras are available with IR in re solutions of 1080p DR, 3MP WDR, 5MP and 10MP in IP66 environmentally rated and IK-10 impact resistant dome enclosures.
