| GB required a fully integrated system including security surveillance and building integration systems |
The Gardens by the Bay (GB) is an urban outdoor recreation development located at the South of Marina Bay. Spanning 54 hectares, GB comprises of iconic Supertrees, Cooled Conservatories and a series of outdoor themed gardens. Since its opening, GB has received many local and international accolades.
In order to create the perfect environment for its visitors, GB required a fully integrated system that encompasses security surveillance, public address, smoke control and a building integration system.
Installation came as a challenge in some areas due to the unique building structures in the Garden and the aesthetic considerations set by GB. Cameras and speakers had to be well integrated and concealed into its surroundings.
Working with the criteria set out by GB, NCS and Bosch came up with a fully integrated system to address the concerns. This included the installation of 192 cameras (NDC455, VG4 and VG5 series), 1,312 speakers under the Praesideo series, a building integration system, 3 FPA5000 Panels and 100 Optical and Heat Detectors throughout the entire Gardens.
