The IP UserGroup, the fastest growing physical security technology forum in the world, recently announced the appointment of Susan Brady as the new Managing Director of the IP UserGroup USA, effective September 15th.  Brady takes over from Bruce Doneff, who has led the organization since its launch in April 2006.  Doneff will continue with the IPUG, serving as the Public Relations and Media Officer.

Brady takes over the IP UserGroup after more than 17 years as Editor in Chief with Security Dealer magazine.  She commented, "I am looking forward to serving the membership base in achieving all the benefits the IP UserGroup USA has to offer.  Bruce Doneff and Chelsie Woods have done an amazing job with IPUG USA and now we are gearing up for Phase II.  I join a dynamic team, and we have some exciting plans for the future of the IP User Group USA and our continued strong growth."

From Strength to Strength

The IP UserGroup has had a productive, successful 16 months since launch at ISC West in 2006.  The organization is fast approaching 35 members in the US alone, the IP UserGroup has a total of more than 125 corporate members worldwide, and there are over 16,000 individual members in about 70 countries.  The USA organization is affiliated with the long-established IPUG in the UK and Europe, the parent organization for the IIPSEC trade show and IPfocus magazine.  Since August 2006, the IPUG USA has conducted six IP-in-Action LIVE events in major cities around the US, offering a daylong security conference with top companies exhibiting and presenting on industry leading IP-based technologies and applications.  The next IP-in-Action LIVE event is scheduled for November 6th in Dallas.  For more information and to sign up to attend this free event, click here.

"Susan is a well known figure in our industry and she brings a wealth of knowledge and relationships to this position," said out-going US Representative Doneff.  "I'm pleased with our progress since we started the UserGroup here in the US.  We are poised for the next stage of growth and for even better service and benefits to our membership."  One of Brady's first initiatives will be to develop a weekly e-newsletter containing IP news, technology, products, and applications for distribution to the 16,000 individual members.  She is also already hard at work contacting all Corporate Affiliate members personally to make sure the IP UserGroup USA is up to date on all their company news, product announcements, and other developments.
