AFI introduces new fibre optic transceivers and more at Security Essen 2010
AFI has announced key enhancements to their V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution
Making another strong showing at Security Essen 2010, American Fibertek, Inc. (AFI), the security industry's leading independent supplier of transmission solutions for security applications, announces key enhancements to their V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution and new fibre optic transmission solutions. Highlights include new video transceivers with features like 10-bit digital video transmission, integrated digital fibre optic and UTP transceivers, enhanced Ethernet transceivers, bi-directional communications, multi-channel capacity for video, data, Ethernet and audio with remote monitoring capabilities, a unique new contact closure systems that do not require any soldering. Additionally AFI is introducing a fibre optic platform for single or multi-channel video with Ethernet and multiple data, audio or contact closure channels. Easily configurable, these products provide maximum flexibility at a very competitive price point. These units are also available with the "Afinety" remote monitoring firmware.

New to the V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution core line-up are enhancements to the Pilot Series Video and Network Management Software including: three mouse click installation; full 64 bit compatibility; complete integration with H.264 compression video and ONVIF compliance; a web interface for improved mobile communications; enhanced viewing features including storing views on the fly; search and view while watching and multiple playbacks and remote client monitor control for video wall applications; an alarm interface from any external source; enhanced data parsing; and a video capture driver for USB devices such as webcams plus expanded DVR drivers for system upgrade capability.

The complete suite of V'nes systems products on display at Security Essen 2010 includes Commander Series IP Communications Switch with PoE (Power over Ethernet), Scout Series Environmental Monitoring System, Pilot Series Video and Network Management Software, Net I/O - a leading edge device for inserting contact closures and multiple data channels on a network and MX Series Multi Port Media Converters. V'nes provides an "Open Path" to integrate IP and analog systems operation and is the industry's only comprehensive video surveillance network solution that delivers control, management and transmission capabilities in fully customisable and scalable user-specified configurations.

AFI is also unveiling a host of new fibre optic transceiver solutions designed to complement the company's comprehensive line of fibre optic transmission solutions designed specifically for video surveillance and security applications addressing both analog and IP applications.
