SANTEC has extended its camera product portfolio by analog and network thermal cameras from Videotec and Axis. Thermal cameras ensure secure video surveillance even under poor light conditions and they also operate in complete darkness.

Common CCTV cameras reach their limits in difficult weather situations fog, smoke, snowfall or darkness or they require an additional light source or a built-in illuminator. A thermal camera, however, is based on the thermic radiation emitted by objects, vehicles or people and provides a high level of security even under difficult light or weather conditions. Hence appropriate measures can be taken if a possible risk or suspicious activities are detected.

SANTEC offers different thermal camera models which are suitable for indoor or outdoor applications. Depending on the model, distances of more than 1 km can be covered which is of particular importance for outdoor facilities such as harbours, airports, power plants or other open space areas. In addition, thermal cameras are also applied in research and development facilities or in labs.
