 Databac Group's secure ID cards
Businesses looking for secure ID cards and how to protect them visit Databac Group stand at IFSEC 2009
Businesses looking for secure ID cards and how to protect them should make their way to the Databac Group stand at IFSEC 2009. As a manufacturer and supplier of every type of card a business might need, Databac will be showing cards constructed from a variety of materials, incorporating one or more technologies, designed for a host of secure applications, from staff ID to access control. It will also demonstrate methods of securing the data on the card itself, including a new product in Databac's range designed to block RFID reading of contactless cards, Secure Sleeve.

Developed in the US by Identity Stronghold, Secure Sleeve is a FIPS201-approved card holder which protects Mifare, UHF and other contactless cards from being read or cloned. A welcome addition to Databac's range amid today's fears of identity theft, Secure Sleeve ensures that invasive communications - such as relaying, eavesdropping, cloning and tracking of ID, debit and credit cards - do not occur.

Also on show will be Databac's newly-developed range of ultra high-frequency (UHF) cards and tags for contactless identification and tracking of products and persons in a host of applications. The UHF series includes polyester CR80-sized cards suitable for printing using dye-sublimation and retransfer card printers.

Other technology cards will include a range of contact and contactless cards (LEGIC, Mifare, EM, 125KHz, 13.56MHz, etc), Java cards, as well as basic magnetic stripe and barcode. Databac is in fact the only licensed manufacturer of LEGIC credentials in the UK. All of Databac's technology cards can be made for use with most card-based security systems on the market.

Databac's recyclable TOUGH card(TM) will present a direct-printable option for long-life applications that is friendly to the environment. Data ReWrite® is Databac's rewritable card that can be reused up to 400 times, bringing huge cost savings in visitor ID applications.

 Smarti high-end multimodal biometric solutions
On the stand, Databac will demonstrate advanced access control and time & attendance of new smarti system

Databac will also showcase its full range of ID solutions, including Dataimage, its popular photo ID and visitor management system for designing, printing and encoding cards. Dataimage can be branded for new resellers for a one-off cost of only £495. At the stand, visitors will be able to see Dataimage in use with Datacard printers and can request a sample ID card printed with their own photo and other details.

As exclusive UK distributor of Staff On Time biometric systems, Databac will display the new T220 fingerprint reader with TCP-IP connectivity, for up to 2,500 people, as well as the latest outdoor version of palm vein recognition system Palm Secure.

Databac is also the UK distributor of smarti high-end multimodal biometric solutions. On the stand, it will demonstrate new value-added functionality to the smarti system for advanced access control and time & attendance.

Also on display will be Databac's card accessories to show how cards can be protected, displayed and stored. These include eco-friendly card holders and lanyards and new lanyards with USB memory sticks. Databac offers an authoring service for any data to be added to the memory stick, including software, merchandising and software locks.

Finally, visitors will be able to find out about Databac's complete range of security printing services.
