AXIS 221 High Performance, Professional Day & Night Network Camera
Product Profile
The Axis 221 day & night network camera, with a high-quality Pentax lens and progressive scan CCD, is ideal for professional indoor and outdoor monitoring over IP networks. Progressive scan means the CCD gives a clear image without blur on fast moving objects at full resolution as opposed to Interlace, which is used on analog cameras. Supported by the industry's largest base of surveillance applications, it reduces cabling requirements by providing built-in support for Power over Ethernet (IEEE802.3af). It boasts true Day & Night functionality and is capable of motion detection and advanced event handling including pre- and post-alarm image buffering. Axis 221 delivers superior video quality at up to 60 fps. It supports simultaneous Motion JPEG and MPEG-4, allowing optimization both for image quality and bandwidth efficiency.

Additional info |
The integrated Power over Ethernet option eliminates the need for a power outlet, as power is supplied to the camera via the network cable, and a steady power stream can be guaranteed with a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). Furthermore, the unique combination of simultaneous Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 streams allows systems to be optimized for both image quality and bandwidth-efficiency. Additionally, the product offers a complete set of security features such as multi-level password protection, IP address filtering and HTTPS encryption. |
