OPTEX Group Exhibits Anti-tailgating Access Control Solutions At IFSEC 2015

OPTEX Group exhibited its new anti-tailgating access control solution known as Accurance 3D, SecurLan network cable protection technology as well as REDSCAN Mini at IFSEC 2015.

SecurLan Network Cable Protection Technology

Duane Thompson, Director of Business Development with Fiber Sensys, an OPTEX Group company, gave information about SecurLAN. As the concerns for data security increase in new environment, SecurLAN will continue to be a more valuable product. This will solve solutions that are not being solved right now. The fibre optic sensor is co-located in the data trap. If somebody tries to tap into the data trap, the fibre optic senses the disturbance, which can then be controlled.

REDSCAN Mini

Richard Hobson, the Technical Product Manager of OPTEX Europe introduced the REDSCAN Mini – a scanning laser that scans the area of concern and detects any disturbance to alert the user on the REDSCAN manager. It goes instantly into alarm.

Accurance 3D, Time-of-flight Based Piggybacking Detection System

Jacques Varre, Deputy Managing Director for OPTEX Europe, demonstrated Accurance 3D – a time-of-flight based piggybacking detection system. It is designed for interlocks, portals and revolving doors for security. Using time-of-flight technology allows avoiding lighting conditions, sunlight, or complete darkness. All the system is looking for is the reflection in time of the infrared information that is transmitted out.
