Through this partnership, AV integrators can integrate a Crestron control system with a Mura-powered video wall
Matrox Mura Boards is compatible with Crestron's complete line of control system solutions

Matrox Graphics Inc. announced recently that it has joined the Crestron Integrated Partner Program and is working with the control and automation solutions provider to make Matrox Mura MPX Series video wall controller boards compatible across Crestron’s complete line of control system solutions. Through this partnership, AV integrators can now seamlessly integrate a Crestron control system with a Mura-powered video wall to easily manage up to 56 HD input sources and layout configurations across up to 56 HD wall displays. Matrox Graphics will demonstrate video wall management and control using the Crestron CP2E 2-Series Control System and a Crestron TPMC-V12 tabletop touch screen panel at the Mura video wall exhibit at InfoComm 2012, booth # N1331.

Crestron control systems introduce a new management option for Mura-based video walls. The recent development of a Mura-specific module for Crestron control systems enables real-time communications with a Mura video wall. As a result, system integrators can provide enhanced video wall control through the customisation of intuitive graphical user interfaces (GUIs)—featuring buttons, preconfigured layouts, and additional control elements—for any of Crestron’s easy-to-use, touch screen solutions. This partnership provides a new level of control over Mura-powered video walls to support a wide range of applications from corporate boardrooms, classrooms, and auditoriums to digital signage, large venue, and collaborative control room environments.

“This new development adds tremendous value for AV integrators already familiar with Crestron’s popular control systems and who are looking to effortlessly leverage high video wall functionality using Matrox Mura boards,” said Helgi Sigurdsson, Product Manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. “This comprehensive video wall solution is ideal for a wide range of corporate, commercial, and public environments, and we encourage InfoComm attendees to come by the Matrox booth to get a first-hand look at this new platform and its many applications.”

Matrox Mura MPX Series supports four HD outputs and up to four HD inputs on the same PCI Express (PCIe) x16 Gen2 board, leveraging 64 Gbit/sec duplex data transfer for the flawless display of video input captures without sacrificing to frame rate, color, or resolution. Mura boards feature highly flexible, universal input channel support for both digital and analog (SL-DVI, RGB/VGA, Component, S-Video & Composite) video signals and can be combined with other Mura output/input, analog capture, and SDI input/output boards to drive desired channel requirements.
