61 local and international companies showed their latest products and innovations to the security industry

SecProTec East Africa powered by Intersec took place for the third time. The first edition in partnership with Messe Frankfurt and its world famous brand “Intersec” proved to be the leading security business platform for the whole East and Central African region. From 9th – 11th July 2015, 61 local and international companies showed their latest products and innovations to the security industry. The companies represented 17 different countries - Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, India, Israel, Kenya, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, UAE, UK, USA and Uganda.

1.407 trade visitors and government bodies mostly from Kenya, but also from Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and the United Arab Emirates, attended the exhibition and conference in the Kenyatta International Convention Centre – an increase of 7 % compared to SecProTec 2014. The exhibitor profile covered industry fields like fire fighting & prevention equipment, homeland security equipment, police equipment, commercial security like CCTV and access control systems, IT & Data protection systems, personal protection equipment and personal security services.

SecProTec also joined forces with the organizer of GPEC® & CCExpo® to complement especially the Homeland Security, Policing and Information Security sectors at SecProTec East Africa powered by Intersec. The creation of a GPEC®-CCExpo®-Pavilion with totally 7 companies providing security solutions for those sectors was successfully established.

High Level Conference Program

Alongside the exhibition, visitors joined the high level conference program to gather information about security for data storage, unauthorized wireless communication or effective organizational counter surveillance. Well-known international speakers presented projects and future solutions. The chairman of the conference was Mr. Enock Makanga, Regional Counter Terrorism Adviser of Impact Solutions Africa.
