Jackson’s role as PSIA Vice Chairman will include working with Soleimani to educate the industry about the compelling business case for standards-based interoperability
Mohammad and Joshua bring to the PSIA strong technology, commercial and industry leadership skills

The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) recently announced it has elected Mohammad Soleimani, CTO and Executive Vice President of Kastle Systems, as its Chairman; and Joshua Jackson, Director, Global Product Integration for STANLEY Security, as its Vice Chairman. The PSIA membership develops specifications for enabling standards-based sharing of digital data and intelligence throughout the physical security and enterprise ecosystems.

“Mohammad and Joshua bring us strong technology, commercial and industry leadership skills,” said David Bunzel, Executive Director, the PSIA. “They will be powerful evangelists for how standards-based physical security systems can help the industry create new opportunities for systems integration and data sharing while solving cost and complexity challenges.”

As PSIA Chairman, Soleimani will work closely with the PSIA board to identify industry needs for new and enhanced PSIA specifications. He has led PSIA development efforts for the Physical-Logical Access Interoperability draft specification and the software profiles derived from the PSIA’s Area Control specification.

“It is critical for the security industry to participate in key technologies, from data analytics to the Internet of Things to mobility,” said Soleimani. “The best way to do that is by adopting systems-level specifications like those from the PSIA that enable data and intelligence sharing among security and enterprise systems. My goal is to offer the industry compelling implementations that showcase the advantages of PSIA compliance and accelerate adoption of our specifications.”

Jackson’s role as PSIA Vice Chairman will include working with Soleimani to educate the industry about the compelling business case for standards-based interoperability for physical security systems. He will be responsible for expanding the member base and help those members define migration strategies needed to specify and/or adopt and implement PSIA specifications.

“The PSIA specifications make it easier for integrators to offer high quality solutions with less integration time and lower total cost of ownership,” said Jackson. “I am looking forward to working with Mohammad, David and the rest of the board to help the industry understand our use case and encourage rapid adoption of PSIA specifications.”

At Kastle, Soleimani leads all development and IT efforts. He has founded two companies and spent more than 25 years in the security and technology industries in specialties ranging from satellite and radio communication to RFID. Soleimani obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology and M.S. in Electrical Engineering with honors from George Washington University.

At STANLEY Security, Jackson is responsible for driving product integration strategies and partnership efforts.  He has been active in the security industry for almost 20 years, with experience supporting Large System Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing and currently the Engineering team.
