The new technologies and solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward
New Product Showcase recognises winners in product and service categories

Sentry360, a US-based manufacturer of high-megapixel IP cameras, launched their first non-camera product on January 20, 2014, and it was named Best New Product in Network Support Solutions by Security Industry Association (SIA) in this year’s New Product Showcase (NPS) at International Security Conference (ISC) in Las Vegas.

According to SIA CEO Don Erickson, “These new technologies and solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward.” Each year, the New Product Showcase recognises winners in product and service categories and consistently proves to be an impressive collection of the latest products and innovations of the industry.

SentryEdge™ is an ecosystem-driven appliance available in 8, 16, or 24 port options and combines a server and smart network switch in one product. SentryEdge™ allows for flexible video management software options as well as versatile storage selection such as NAS, RAID, or any other third-party storage system. IP video has struggled to replicate the plug-and-play legacy that was created by analog systems, and sentryEdge™ brings that ease of use one step closer to the integrator and the end-user alike. Designed for entry-level systems with the mini-series, or enterprise class deployments with the pro-series, the sentryEdge™ unit provides a scalable solution regardless of project size.

Thomas Carnevale, CEO of Sentry360, said “We are honored that sentryEdge™ was awarded Best for Network Support Solutions. We are proud of this product and the solution that it provides. We feel strongly that this is an exciting industry channel product and it’s nice to see that SIA does too.”

“Our vision for sentryEdge™ was to not limit a user from using Ultra HD cameras along with Panoramic 360º/180º or even VGA resolution–if that’s what the project demands. Our list of supported partners will be growing throughout 2014 and beyond along with our commitment delivering an end-to-end solution with the freedom of choice,” stated Carnevale.
